Job Summary
Maintain accurate financial records, record daily transactions, and ensure all journal entries are properly documented and authorized using QuickBooks. Process vendor invoices, manage payment schedules, track customer billings, and follow up on outstanding receivables to maintain healthy cash flow. Perform daily and monthly bank, credit card, and vendor reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly. Prepare routine financial schedules, budget variance reports, and management statements utilizing advanced Microsoft Excel tools. Assist the senior finance team with month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, prepayments, and asset depreciation schedules. Organize financial documentation, receipts, and supporting schedules to facilitate internal reviews, tax filings (VAT, PAYE, and WHT). Maintain digital and physical filing systems for all financial transactions in compliance with corporate governance policies and local financial regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- 2 to 4 years of relevant professional experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or corporate finance roles (internship experience included)
- Demonstrated hands-on experience using QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) for ledger management, invoicing, and reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to handle large datasets, utilize formulas, build pivot tables, and format financial spreadsheets cleanly
- Exceptional attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time-management abilities with the capacity to meet strict financial deadlines
- High level of integrity and confidentiality regarding sensitive corporate financial data
- Clear verbal and written communication skills

- Professional accounting certifications (or in-progress status with ICAN, ACCA, etc.)
