Job Summary
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, perform bank reconciliations, and post accounts to the General Ledger for accounts receivable, cash receipts, accounts payable, cash disbursements, and payroll. Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts, prepare supporting documentation including balance sheet schedules, and communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and schools. Work closely with independent auditors during annual financial statement audits by preparing schedules, invoices, and explanations of supporting materials. Maintain records of all financial documents and provide support for the annual budget process. Conforms with all regulations and policies while demonstrating accuracy, thoroughness, and professional interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications
- Must have bookkeeping or other relevant accounting experience
- Must have proficiency in accounting software
- No more than three jobs in the last ten years
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or related field
- 1-3 years bookkeeping or other relevant accounting experience
- Computer Basics -- MS Windows (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); proficiency in accounting software
- 100% in office
- Travel within or outside of state
- No sponsorships or visa holders
- No Corp-to-Corp
- Demonstrates knowledge of federal, state, and local requirements for K-12 schools and charter school law
