Job Summary
Evaluate loan applications for risks, investor requirements, and accuracy by validating income, assets, and collateral documents including self-employed tax returns. Calculate qualifying income through analysis of tax returns and financial statements while reviewing borrower profiles, credit reports, title reports, and complex business returns. Manage the individual pipeline daily by completing new underwriting reviews, condition reviews, and other tasks within established turn times. Communicate proactively with loan originators, processors, branch managers, funders, and post-closers regarding loan decisions, assignment of conditions, and investor guidelines. Access third-party services for valuation, fraud, and compliance input to support loan decisions. Meet minimum production requirements and review all eligible investors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years' Jumbo products experience
- Minimum of 3 years' Non-Agency experience
- Experience with reviewing residential appraisals
- Experience with compliance and disclosure requirements
- Working knowledge of ATR/QM requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent communication skills
- Must meet minimum Production Requirements
Desired Qualifications
- DE, SAR or LAPP certifications, highly preferred
- Encompass LOS experience, a plus
