Jumbo Operator

Jumbo Operator at Barminco Mining Services Canada Ltd. for the Red Chris Mine in northern British Columbia, working a FIFO rotation on an even time roster. Responsible for high-speed development using a multi-boom jumbo following drill/blast patterns, adhering to safety standards and production targets. Key duties include following survey plans to determine hole location/spacing/depth/angle; assessing ground conditions; coordinating with engineers, geologists, surveyors, and maintenance; boring development rounds; installing ground support per control plans; ensuring equipment is properly maintained; documenting daily reports; reporting problems to the Shift Supervisor; maintaining professional relations with team and clients; housekeeping and PPE compliance; and assisting with other mine operations as required. Skills/experience include high school diploma or equivalent, 10-15 years in underground hard rock mining (preferred), jumbo operation proficiency with twin boom split feed, ability to work independently and in a team, strong communication and prioritization, and capacity to work long shifts in a demanding environment.
