Job Summary
Coordinate project activities and oversee grant administration for a multi-year U.S. Department of State-funded initiative focused on protecting migrant workers. Manage financial tracking, reporting, and monitoring and evaluation activities while serving as a key coordinator among project partners and the Defender Network. Strengthen operational systems to ensure successful cross-border program delivery and maintain accurate project documentation and compliance with grant requirements. This full-time, remote position operates on Eastern Time Zone hours with occasional domestic and international travel. The role is temporary, contingent upon grant funding availability, and offers a salary of $72,400 - $74,400.
Required Qualifications
- 3 or more years of experience administering federally funded grants, managing federally funded programs, or serving in a grant management role with responsibility for compliance, reporting, and stakeholder coordination
- Professional English/Spanish fluency: bilingual fluency in spoken and written English and Spanish, including the ability to communicate professionally with project partners, facilitate meetings, prepare written materials, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders throughout the United States, Mexico, and Central America
- Demonstrated knowledge of grant compliance requirements, reporting obligations, documentation standards, monitoring processes, and financial accountability associated with federally funded programs
- Able to coordinate multiple workstreams, manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records, and ensure deadlines are consistently met
- Comfortable working across cultures, organizations, and geographic boundaries while fostering productive partnerships and collaborative problem-solving
- Able to maintain accurate project documentation, support reporting processes, and ensure compliance with grant requirements
- Experience with project management and collaboration tools, such as Asana or similar platforms
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, anticipate challenges, and develop practical solutions in a remote work environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting monitoring and evaluation efforts, managing project data, or maintaining reporting systems
- Familiarity with budgeting, expense tracking, grant allocations, or financial controls
- Experience working with migrant communities, labor rights initiatives, human rights organizations, legal services providers, or international development programs
- Familiarity with Mexico and Central America
