Job Summary
Teach JROTC curriculum covering leadership, citizenship, military history, health/fitness, and life skills while developing engaging lesson plans and providing hands-on activities. Supervise, mentor, and guide cadets in leadership roles within the battalion, coordinating drill, ceremony, physical training, and uniform inspections. Organize extracurricular activities for the drill team, color guard, Raiders, academic teams, and community service events, while maintaining accurate records of cadet progress and evaluations. Manage cadet promotions, awards, and recognition programs. Requires Noncommissioned Officers (E-6 to E-9) or Officers (W-1 to W-5, O-3 to O-6) with at least 8 years of cumulative honorable service, separated or retired within the past 5 years. ARNG/USAR candidates must provide a Letter of Recommendation from the current Commander and current DA Form 5016 or NGB 23A.
Required Qualifications
- Noncommissioned Officers (E-6 to E-9) – Separated or retired within the past 5 years with at least 8 years of cumulative honorable service
- Officers (W-1 to W-5, O-3 to O-6) – Same requirement: 8+ years of honorable service, separated or retired within the past 5 years
- Letter of Recommendation from current Commander
- current DA Form 5016 or NGB 23A
