Jr. Youth Development Professional - Literacy Intern

Job Summary
Assist with the operation of a quality school-age childcare program under the supervision of the IPT and Club Director, ensuring compliance with Delacare rules; deliver a variety of age-appropriate programs and activities for children ages 6–12 that align with Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware core program areas and Youth Development Strategy; monitor safety and equipment, model positive behavior, and uphold club policies while contributing to the club’s positive presence in the community; participate in adherence to Delaware STARS policies and be flexible to additional tasks as needed. The role involves indoor/outdoor activities across varying locations with occasional statewide travel, and may include 16-17 year-old provisions.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years old (Special Provisions for Individuals 16 and 17 years of age)
- Compliance with Delacare state licensing requirements for school-age centers
- Ability to work Monday to Friday afternoons (2:00 PM - 6:00 PM) and summer hours as described
