Job Summary
Jr. Youth Development Professional supports the Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware in operating a school-age childcare program compliant with Delacare rules for ages 6–12. Responsibilities include assisting the Childcare/Program Director in delivering age-appropriate activities aligned with the organization’s Youth Development Strategy, ensuring safe implementation of programs, equipment and facilities, modeling positive behavior, adhering to club policies and Delaware STARS, and taking on additional tasks as needed. Role requires adaptable engagement with children in a dynamic environment, with responsibilities across indoor and outdoor activities and potential statewide training/transfer as needed. Typical hours during the school year are 3:00PM–6:00PM (Mon–Fri) with longer summer hours (7:00AM–6:00PM), and the position emphasizes energy, positive mentorship, and commitment to program quality.
