Job Summary
Jr. Youth Development Professional – Art Program assists with operating a school-age childcare program compliant with Delacare rules and delivers Eyeball It! art programming for 7–12-year-olds. The role involves delivering 10 art sessions, helping implement age-appropriate activities that reflect the organization’s core program areas and Youth Development Strategy, ensuring safe program delivery (equipment, facilities, age-appropriateness, weather, etc.), modeling positive behavior, adhering to club policies and Delaware Stars guidelines, and supporting community presence. The position requires applicants to be 14 or older, with work permits for minors under 18, and follows specific from 3:00PM–6:00PM Monday–Friday hours with occasional statewide travel between clubs. Required Qualifications
- Fourteen (14) years of age or older
- Work permits required for ALL employed minors under the age of 18 years
- Age-appropriate program delivery skills
- Ability to pass any mandated background checks or clearances as required by state regulations
- Ability to meet environmental and working conditions described (indoors/outdoors, travel, physical activity)
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed for instruction setup
- Experience or willingness to work with children ages 5-14
- Commitment to Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware policies and Delaware STARS
