Jr Windows Systems Administrator

Job Summary

Administer Windows systems and provide Tier 1 support for IT systems, virtual desktop infrastructure, patch management, and security to support United States Space Command command and control facilities. Develop comprehensive system architectures ensuring scalability, security, and integration with existing infrastructure while implementing cybersecurity protocols and enforcing USSPACECOM regulations. Monitor system performance to identify and resolve issues, evaluate vendor technologies, and provide training to systems engineers. Work at government facilities in Colorado Springs, CO, with some travel up to 25% yearly. This contingent position requires U.S. citizenship and a Secret-level clearance with Top Secret/SCI eligibility.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum three years of experience administering with Windows Server 2016, Server 2019, Windows 10/11 Client systems
  • Active CompTIA Security+ CE
  • Familiarity with Cyber Security tooling (i.e. HBSS, ACAS and E-SIEM and STIG Process)
  • Experience IAVM DoD security implementation including STIG and security tools
  • Must have experience with implementing Cyber-Security best practices
  • Familiarity with Nutanix Acropolis HyperVisor (AHV), Prism Elements, and Enterprise Cloud Administration with Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) Certification
  • Three years of experience as a systems administrator/engineer in a medium to large Enterprise environment supporting a variety of operating systems
  • VMware 7.0 installation, configuration, security hardening and administration
  • Three years of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Systems Administration or equivalent years of experience with Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certificate
  • Security-Enhanced (SE) Linux and Red Hat repository administration
  • Active Directory Domain Services and Group Policy installation, configuration and administration
  • Domain Name System (DNS) and BIND installation and configuration experience including DNSSEC
  • Ability to run, build, and execute PowerShell scripts for diagnostics, repairs or automation
  • Secure Socket Layer (SSL) & Transport Layer Security (TLS) and other cipher suites and how to enforce themor workstations and servers
  • Exceptional organizational, verbal and written skills
  • U.S. CITIZENSHIP
  • A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL WITH TOP SECRET / SCI ELIGIBILITY
  • Some travel up to 25% yearly

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline preferred; will consider additional years of related experience in lieu of a degree
