Job Summary

Junior Underwriter responsible for turning approvals into contracts by contacting dealership partners to rehash approvals, assess risk, and price or structure deals to secure contracts. Key duties include ensuring contracts meet program specifications, counteroffering when appropriate, collaborating with Funding and Sales teams, explaining credit decisions to dealers, meeting or exceeding monthly production, quality, and customer satisfaction goals, and maintaining strong dealer relationships. Requires strong communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and organizational skills, with experience using Microsoft Office, Google G Suite, and Teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Auto finance or financial services experience preferred but not required
  • Proven ability to build relationships with dealers, sales/marketing teams, and peers
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Skilled negotiator with a drive to win in a competitive market
