Job Summary
Perform technical planning, support design reviews, and develop tools to track action items internally and with customers. Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to create systems engineering, requirements, and design artifacts while working with technical teams to mature systems architecture content for large program designs. Conduct pre-review assessments to ensure readiness prior to formal design reviews, developing systems architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architecture and contributing to system requirements development and management. This role requires a Bachelor of Science in a STEM field with two years of related experience or a Master of Science with zero years, plus an active DoD Secret Clearance. Candidates must have experience along the left side of the Systems Engineering Vee and developing models using SysML.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in a STEM field and 2 years of related experience OR Master of Science in a STEM field and 0 years of related experience
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Experience working along the left side of the Systems Engineering Vee
- Experience developing Systems Engineering models using the Systems Modeling Language (SysML)
- 1 year of experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices, languages, and/or tools such as Cameo, Rhapsody, or MagicDRAW OR Equivalent Graduate Certificate (e.g., CalTech MBSE)
- 1 year of experience with requirements management/analysis/allocations OR Equivalent Graduate Certificate (e.g., CalTech SE Fundamentals)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight and collaboratively in a team setting
Desired Qualifications
- Object Modeling Group (OMG) Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) Model Builder Fundamental Certification
- Experience using the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM)
- Experience leading technical projects, assignments, or engineering teams
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence) or similar agile workflow environments
- Experience working with DOORS or similar requirements management tools
- Experience using agile development methodologies within a hardware or systems framework
