Job Summary
Jr. Structural Engineer needed in the Building Engineering Division in Syracuse, NY. Responsibilities include determining structural loading criteria, performing complex design calculations, and preparing structural specifications; conducting field investigations and documenting findings; collaborating with other engineering and architectural disciplines; producing construction documents using Revit (BIM); reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and performing field observations during CA phase. Works closely with a Senior Structural Engineer and can operate independently or within multi-discipline teams on varied project types including K-12 and higher education, municipal, health care, industrial, commercial, and other unique projects. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with structural coursework
- Engineering In Training Certificate (E.I.T.)
- 1 to 5 years of experience with concrete, steel, masonry, and/or wood design
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and structural engineering design software (RISA, SAP, and/or TSD) preferred
