Job Summary
Configure Tek seeks a Jr. Software Developer/Jr Web Developer to support clients across North America. Job responsibilities include performing technical demonstrations, troubleshooting activities, installation and configuration of enterprise software tools, preparing technical documentation, and recording technical demonstration videos. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, experience with Linux or UNIX operating systems, proficiency in scripting languages (PERL, Java Script, Python, Shell, BASH), web development technologies, and programming languages (Java, C, C#), alongside a degree in computer science or related field.
Required Qualifications
- Legal authorization to work in the US
- 4 year degree in computer science or a related field
- Expertise and/or experience with Linux or UNIX type Operating Systems
- Expertise with scripting languages such as PERL, Java Script, Python, Shell, BASH
- Experience with web development technologies
- Experience with programming languages such as Java, C, C#
- Experience or exposure to systems administration
- Strong knowledge of programming languages and concepts such as Object Oriented Paradigm
- Knowledge of the OSI Model
Desired Qualifications
- Nice to have exposure to HP or Service Now technologies
- Strong knowledge of database technologies and ability to write complex SQL Queries
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts such as IP Addressing, Firewalls, ports
- Thorough knowledge and/or experience with Operating Systems (Linux, FreeBSD, Windows, Mac)
- Educational knowledge of protocols such as WMI or SNMP
