Job Summary
entry-level Engineer to join ATR's Engineering Services Division, supporting Navy and surface systems programs at Indian Head, MD. Responsibilities include rocket motor and energetic component in-service and production engineering, fleet failure investigations, energetic components testing and analysis, and configuration management of technical data. Requires a BS degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Chemical, or Systems Engineering (or similar), 1+ years of engineering experience, proficiency in analysis and drawings, and ability to travel. Preference for experience with DoD, MATLAB, CAD (Creo/SolidWorks), and testing ordnance/explosives; strong communication and project-tracking skills; US citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain DoD security clearance. On-site role based in Maryland with potential travel.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Chemical, Systems Engineering or similar
- 1+ years of engineering experience
- Experience with design, analysis, fundamentals of rocket motor propulsion is preferred
- Job experience with DoD is a plus
- Some travel required
- Candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation
