Job Summary
Draft pleadings and motions, negotiate and settle personal injury claims involving auto wrecks, slip and fall, product liability, and medical malpractice, and support trial attorneys in high-stress environments. Conduct depositions and attend hearings and court conferences as needed. Maintain strong computer skills and excellent writing and communication abilities while motivating support staff. Qualified attorneys with one to two years of experience in a plaintiff's firm and in good standing with the NY Bar should forward their resume.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed and in good standing with the NY Bar
- 1 to 2 years working in a plaintiff's law firm
- Experience with personal injury law experience (auto wrecks, s/f, product liability, medical malpractice, work related injury, etc...)
- Experience negotiating and settling PI claims
- Experience drafting pleadings and motions/oppositions
- Strong computer skills
- Able to maintain in high stress situations
- Able to support trial attorneys
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Positive attitude and able to motivate support staff in a positive way
Desired Qualifications
- Experience defending/conducting depositions
