Job Summary
Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities using the Wonder of Learning® curriculum to engage young children. Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment while supervising indoor and outdoor play. Communicate daily progress and activities with families, and observe, assess, and document learning to inform instruction. Support Assistant Teachers and Resource Teachers through collaboration, and model positive guidance strategies for social-emotional growth. Participate in ongoing professional development and training. No nights or weekends; childcare discounts and tuition reimbursement available.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education
- Child Development Associate (CDA)
- 3-5 years of previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
- Has successfully completed state-required pre-service training
- Develops relationships and communicates effectively with children, families and faculty members
