Job Summary
Provide attentive, nurturing care to children ages 6 weeks to 6 years, meeting their physical, emotional, and developmental needs through play, exploration, and sensory experiences. Establish trusting relationships with infants and families while maintaining open communication. Follow daily routines and implement developmentally appropriate activities to promote cognitive, physical, social, and emotional growth. Maintain a clean, safe classroom adhering to health guidelines and collaborate with team members on professional development. Complete CPR/First Aid training and obtain certification. Work part-time on-site at Little Lonestar Academy, an inclusive preschool committed to exceptional early childhood education for children of all abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must successfully complete CPR/ First Aid training requirements and obtain certification
- Knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate practices
Desired Qualifications
- CDA (Child Development Associate) or equivalent
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting
