Job Summary
Review shop prints and make necessary changes as noted on prints. Prepare updated engineering prints for shipping and final engineering document packages to customers, including CAD specifications and shop updates. Confirm shop print package contents, replace missing information, and organize files before archiving. Maintain printing and file storage areas, run prints for engineering releases, estimating, or sales, and interact with Shipping and Sales to resolve document issues. Keep a log of received and shipped documents. Work in an office environment with physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds and frequent stair climbing.
Required Qualifications
- Current engineering student or a two (2) year technical degree
- Blueprint reading
- Understand mechanical drawings
- Detail oriented and able to multi task
- Good interpersonal skills
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient in Autodesk programs 2D mechanical and 3D inventor Ver2020
- Basic knowledge of GD&T
- Knowledge of mechanical and controls drawing standards (Ford, GM and Chrysler)
- PLM knowledge
- Strong organizational skills
- May be required to lift up to 50 pounds
- Frequently carries prints weighing 25 pounds up and down stairs
- Working for extended periods of time at a computer work station
