Job Summary
Junior Critical Infrastructure Engineer role focused on ensuring 100% uptime of data center operations. Responsibilities include monitoring and reviewing maintenance methods, collaborating with the Chief Engineer on space/power/cooling requirements, supporting daily operations of critical infrastructure systems (UPS, generators, mechanical and life safety equipment), generating and maintaining facility/compliance reports, providing technical support during customer installations and integrations, addressing operational issues promptly, and liaising with operations management, vendors, and stakeholders to implement and track solutions. Located on-site in Red Oak, TX; requires ability to work in a 24/7/365 environment and strong cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in facility operations within data centers, telecommunications, or similar mission-critical environments
- Familiarity with maintenance management and ticketing software platforms
- Capable of working in high-pressure, high-availability (24/7/365) environments, including vendor coordination and emergency response
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Foundational knowledge of mission-critical facility systems, including UPS, generators, mechanical, and fire safety systems
- Understanding of building automation systems, energy management, and control systems for mechanical and electrical infrastructure
- Strong multi-tasking and time management skills; ability to meet shifting deadlines
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
