Job Summary
Junior Copywriter for Longplay (remote, US-based) responsible for crafting and optimizing email copy, SMS copy, and related projects across multiple brands. Owns brand voice for assigned clients, maintains copy guides, applies Longplay copy standards, and implements client feedback. Produces copy for email campaigns, promotions, product launches, and automated flows; edits and optimizes with a focus on education-based messaging that supports sales over time. Collaborates with the Email Strategist to develop hypotheses and tests to improve copy performance (headers, CTAs, subject lines, body copy, etc.). Provides feedback to other copywriters, participates in content reviews, and ensures all copy is error-free and aligned with strategic goals. This is a 1099 contractor, fully remote, with 30-40+ hours per week during business hours (9-5 Central Time). Ideal for an entry-level writer looking to grow within a fast-paced, empowering environment.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of copywriting experience (preferably in email marketing or digital marketing)
- familiarity with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Constant Contact a plus
- strong writing skills with concise, persuasive, conversion-focused copy
- attention to detail with grammar, proofreading and editing
- creative thinking and adaptability to multiple industries/audience segments
- time management to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- analytical mindset and understanding of basic email marketing metrics
