Job Summary
Support civil and structural engineering activities for onshore oil & gas or industrial facilities. Assist in developing structural steel designs, concrete foundations, and site grading plans. Prepare engineering calculations, sketches, and technical documents under senior engineer guidance. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and suppliers to resolve routine issues and ensure compliance with codes and standards. Review vendor information for project deliverables. Maintain effective communication across project stakeholders. Perform other related duties as assigned. Occasional travel to off-site locations and field work in plants or shops is required.
Required Qualifications
- BSc, MSc or equivalent in Civil/Structural Engineering
- 0 - 4+ years of experience
- Ability to comprehend and interpret technical information applicable to Civil/Structural Engineering
- High level of commitment to safety
- Highly motivated and positive attitude
- Possess good interpersonal skills and excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to lift and carry up to ten (10) pounds
- Ability to communicate effectively, including sufficient clarity of speech, hearing, or other communication capabilities
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Sufficient visual acuity or other observational abilities to review documents, perform analysis, and conduct investigations
- Sufficient manual dexterity to perform routine office tasks such as typing and using standard office equipment
- Sufficient mobility to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations as needed
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) when visiting operational or field locations, as required by the safety department
Desired Qualifications
- NCEES Engineering-in-Training
- Ability to use STAAD, RISA-3D, or other computer aided design programs
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
