Job Summary

Design and develop high-performance, secure, automated pipelines for Esri technology deployment using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and Jenkins. Architect Docker environments for consistent build runners and manage Conda recipes for ArcGIS API distribution. Build infrastructure runners and nodes via automated provisioning while implementing security gatekeeping including SBOM generation and vulnerability scanning. Monitor build performance, assist in load testing, and transition legacy workflows to "everything-as-code" processes. Oversee third-party dependency lifecycles to ensure secure supply chains from source to final package.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, DevOps, or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 1+ years of relevant experience (including internships, open-source work, or academic projects) in DevOps, CI/CD, or platform automation
  • Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure Pipelines, or similar)
  • Experience working with YAML-based pipeline configurations and infrastructure definitions
  • Exposure to automation and scripting (Python and/or JavaScript preferred)
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as: Ansible, AWS CDK, Terraform, or similar IaC frameworks
  • Active or Current (within two years of active) Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's in computer science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or STEM-related field
  • Experience automating backend systems and operational workflows
  • Familiarity with release engineering and deployment strategies (blue/green, canary, etc.)
  • Experience integrating security scanning into pipelines (SAST/DAST, container scanning)
  • Exposure to Kubernetes-based delivery environments
  • Exposure to DevSecOps practices and secure development pipelines
  • CompTIA Security + certification
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments
  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting
  • Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals
  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, and experience working in a home office setting, as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues
  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone; good phone skills, professional demeanor, and previous customer service experience strongly desired
  • Good problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a problem/situation and think abstractly to solve it
  • Familiarity with Linux environments and containerized workflows
  • Ability to write and optimize Docker files and support container-based deployments
  • Understanding of artifact management, dependency management, and secure build practices
  • Familiarity with SBOM tools and artifact signing concepts
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure), especially: Compute services, Storage services (e.g., S3, Blob Storage)
