Job Summary
Financial Controller, Seattle HQ, responsible for leading accounting operations and financial reporting for a multi-entity aerospace/defense organization. Own US GAAP- and SEC-compliant financial reporting, consolidate statements across nine entities, drive annual budgeting/forecasting with operations and executives, manage audits and PBC schedules, maintain SOX controls, oversee month-end/quarter-end close, and deliver well-documented management reports. Lead and mentor the local accounting team, optimize a multi-platform ERP environment for accurate, company-wide reporting, and implement continuous improvements in finance processes. Strong emphasis on cross-functional partnership, internal controls, and communication with senior leadership; prefer aerospace/defense manufacturing experience and CPA eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
- 3+ years in a controller or senior accounting leadership role
- Prior experience in a public company or public company subsidiary environment
- Demonstrated expertise in multi-entity consolidation
- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and SOX compliance
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis skills
- Comfortable operating across multiple ERP systems simultaneously
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with senior leadership
