Job Summary
Maintain and repair electrical equipment and building infrastructure, including diagnostics for electronics and mechanical systems. Replace components and perform installations under the direction of the Electrical Master of Record. Provide on-call support for frequency drives, networked lighting, and emergency power distribution. Evaluate electrical loads, energy savings, and power factor correction while ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code and The Joint Commission. Test three-phase circuitry, including 13,800-volt feeds, and verify emergency and life safety systems. Work overtime as required, with unscheduled shifts available.
Required Qualifications
- Electrician must be proficient with digital multimeters, power analyzers, circuit tracers and other test equipment.
- Must provide proper evaluation and repair of electrical distribution and lighting to provide a safe environment for staff and patients.
- Performs testing of emergency and life safety systems to be compliant with National Electrical Code and The Joint Commission\CMS.
- Will be competent in testing three phase circuitry, will know how to test for phase failures on 13,800-volt feeds.
- Electrician will take Minnesota state required training to maintain their electrical license.
- Requires the availability to work overtime as required, overtime may be unscheduled.
