Job Summary
Journeyperson Machinist needed to manufacture, fabricate, and repair experimental equipment and systems for TRIUMF’s national research program. Responsibilities include independently setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce complex components; selecting tools, fixtures, and materials; performing quality inspections to ensure tolerances; developing and modifying CNC programs with MasterCAM or Fusion 360; troubleshooting tooling or machine issues; maintaining safety and quality standards; collaborating with engineering teams to interpret specifications and implement improvements; and pursuing ongoing professional development to stay at the forefront of machining technology. Located in Vancouver, BC, Canada, this permanent, full-time role requires a Red Seal with CNC focus and a strong foundation in reading technical drawings, GD&T, and SolidWorks.
Required Qualifications
- BCTQ Machinist Red Seal certification with a focus on CNC machining
- Four (4) year experience as a red seal Machinist
