Journeyperson Electrician

Job Summary
Maintain a safe work environment and ensure consistent operations of all electrical equipment in the sawmill through daily troubleshooting, predictive, and preventive maintenance strategies. Verify and document repairs while monitoring product quality and providing feedback. Troubleshoot various pieces of equipment and utilize PLC systems to support company-wide continuous improvement efforts. Weekend and/or shift work is required, with a valid AB driver's license needed. A Red Seal Certificate and Journeyman or Inter-Provincial Certification are mandatory. Previous experience in a sawmill or industrial environment is a strong asset.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as an Electrician
- Red Seal Certificate
- Journeyman or Inter-Provincial Certification
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
- Demonstrated problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Weekend and/or shift work
- Valid AB driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- 3rd Year Apprentices
- Previous experience working in a sawmill or an industrial environment
