Journeyperson Electrician

Job Summary
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, test, and repair industrial electrical systems, equipment, and components in field-based environments across Saskatchewan. Work with low-, medium-, and high-voltage equipment while reading schematics, specifications, and single-line diagrams to perform construction, commissioning, outage, and shutdown work. Select materials and ensure installations comply with the Canadian Electrical Code, then complete service reports, inspection forms, and safety documentation. Mentor apprentices and junior team members while participating in hazard assessments, tailgate meetings, and field audits. Travel to customer sites and project locations as required, adhering to all safety standards and applicable regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Red Seal Interprovincial Journeyperson Electrician Certification
- Previous experience in industrial, commercial, construction, maintenance, commissioning, or field service electrical work
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safe work practices, electrical codes, and applicable standards
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
- Willingness and availability to work field-based assignments, travel, overtime, and multiple shift schedules as required
- Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, teamwork, and customer service
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with control systems, conduit, cable tray, grounding, terminations, switchgear, motors, MCCs, transformers, or medium-voltage equipment
- Industrial safety training or certifications such as CSTS, WHMIS, First Aid, fall protection, or confined space
