Job Summary
Journeyperson Carpenter role focusing on concrete formwork, framing, and exterior finishing on Nunavut projects. Responsibilities include building and placing concrete forms, raking, screeding, and troweling, framing walls/doors/windows, exterior finishing (siding, fascia, soffit), placing and tying rebar, and operating hand and power tools. The position requires leading and mentoring co-workers, reading building specifications and blueprints, and maintaining high-quality workmanship with a strong safety mindset. Travel to remote project locations is required, with a rotational schedule of 21 days on and 7 days off. Must hold Red Seal certification, pass criminal record and vulnerable sector checks, and demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork, along with cultural awareness and respect for Indigenous communities.
