Job Summary
Build and assemble concrete forms, frame walls and windows, and apply exterior finishing like siding and soffit. Place and tie rebar, operate hand and power tools, and lead and mentor co-workers while maintaining quality workmanship. Read building specifications and blueprints, apply safe work practices, and demonstrate cultural awareness when working with Indigenous communities. Travel to remote project locations on a rotational schedule of 21 days on, 7 days off. Red Seal certification and a clean criminal record are required.
Required Qualifications
- Red Seal certification
- Pass a criminal record and vulnerable sector check
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to lead a team
- Ability to read building specifications and blueprints
- Mathematical skills
- The care and effort required to maintain quality workmanship, minimize deficiencies and maintain Penn-co's reputation in the industry
- An understanding of safe work practices
- Experience working in or with Indigenous communities
- Cultural awareness and respect
- Willingness and ability to travel to remote project locations
- Adherence to a rotational schedule of 21 days on, 7 days off
