Job Summary
The carpenter is responsible for constructing and maintaining buildings. Proficient at hanging doors, drilling and setting door hardware, setting windows, layout for stairs and common rafters, formwork, and reading blueprints. Must have mathematical and analytical skills for materials estimates; knowledgeable in tools/equipment, safety, and cost control; pre-employment physical testing to ensure safe/efficient performance; valid license preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Ticketed Journeyperson Carpenter or Unticketed Carpenter
- Experienced with a large general contractor
- Currently working in the trade.
- Knowledge of carpentry and building maintenance.
- Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of workplace safety, and safe lifting and handling procedures.
- first aid and CPR.
- Able to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract preferred
