Job Summary
Journeymen Millwright needed for a food-manufacturing environment to perform preventive maintenance on production machinery (conveyors, mixers, packaging, refrigeration) and maintain facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical). Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing equipment to minimize downtime, ensuring sanitation and safety compliance (GMP, HACCP, OSHA), documenting maintenance work and parts usage, coordinating with production and engineering teams, and providing technical assistance to staff. Requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, PLC programming (Allen-Bradley/Siemens), HMI/SCADA familiarity, lockout/tagout, and the ability to work rotating days/nights. Minimum education: high school diploma or GED; Red Seal Journeyman Ticket (preferred/required); technical school education (preferred); 2 years’ related experience in automated food processing. - Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting/repairs on PLC, relay logic and logic controllers, 480v, 220v, 110v AC (single/three phase) and DC systems
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
- Knowledge of safety standards (GMP, HACCP, OSHA)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Willingness to work rotating days/nights (4 days one week, 3 days next)
