Job Summary
Install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing, heating, water distribution, and gas systems for new construction and retrofit projects under the direction of a division supervisor or site foreman. Follow Occupational Health & Safety regulations, company policies, and plumbing/gasfitting codes to ensure safe, compliant work while interacting with clients, contractors, and team members professionally. Order materials and supplies in advance, maintain accurate records of time and work performed, and provide guidance and training to apprentices and new team members. Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe by participating in site clean-up and attending safety meetings. Requires Journeyman Plumber and Gasfitter certification, Class 5 driver's licence, and relevant fall arrest and first aid training.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman Plumber and Gasfitter certification
- Knowledge of current plumbing and gas codes and best practices
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Commitment to safe work practices and high-quality workmanship
- Experience with commercial plumbing/heating installations and gas systems
- Class 5 driver's licence with a clean abstract
- Fall Arrest certification
- Manlift certification
- First Aid certification
