Job Summary
Diagnose and repair complex malfunctions in medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks, including cabs, steering systems, engines, transmissions, axles, brakes, and electrical components. Analyze system failures to determine corrective actions and restore vehicles to peak performance while maintaining strict safety and quality standards. Perform routine maintenance and servicing to minimize downtime and extend vehicle life. Work alongside trained technicians in a shop equipped with extensive parts inventory to ensure accurate, timely repairs that maximize customer uptime.
Required Qualifications
- 3 or more years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks
- Ability to work under little or no supervision
- Must provide own tools
- The Pape' Group maintains a drug-free workplace and as such, requires candidates to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test
Desired Qualifications
- Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred
- Basic computer knowledge
- Cummins and MX software experience preferred
- Self-motivation and assertiveness
- Excellent communication and customer relations skills
