Job Summary
Journeyman Truck Technician/Mechanic needed to service medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks in shop. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing complex truck malfunctions or system failures, repairing or rebuilding components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical and air systems, and performing routine maintenance to maximize uptime. Lead and mentor other technicians, maintain high safety and quality standards, and contribute to shop efficiency through accurate, timely repairs and strong attention to detail. Must be able to work under limited supervision and communicate effectively with customers.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working on medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks including engine repair, electronic trouble-shooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair
- Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred
- Basic computer knowledge; Cummins and MX software experience preferred
- Must provide own tools
