Job Summary
Conduct test drives to verify vehicle performance and perform advanced troubleshooting, electronic repairs, and brake adjustments on heavy-duty diesel trucks and motorhomes. Disassemble and overhaul internal combustion engines, pumps, transmissions, clutches, and rear ends while reconditioning pistons, bearings, gears, and valves. Change oil, check batteries, lubricate equipment, and maintain shop machinery per operating instructions. Perform safety inspections and accept ownership of new service requests to enhance department value. Requires 4+ years of diesel truck mechanic experience, ASE certification preferred, and extensive knowledge of diesel engines and power trains.
