Journeyman Tool Maker

Repair existing dies and tools while supporting production by analyzing specifications, laying out metal stock, and setting up machine tools. Fit and assemble parts to modify dies, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and cutting tools using both hand and power equipment. Conduct test runs to verify parts meet specifications, making adjustments as necessary, and inspect finished dies for defects. File, grind, shim, and adjust components to ensure proper alignment, and weld tool steel back to original specifications. Measure, mark, and scribe stock using precision instruments, and maintain tool room equipment and safety standards. Work Monday through Friday from 10:00pm to 6:00am with overtime based on business needs. Requires a Journeyman card and 4+ years of experience in die troubleshooting and repair.
