Job Summary
Journeyman Electrician for commercial environments performing troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of electrical systems. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues on service calls, installing wiring and equipment, conducting preventive maintenance, reading blueprints and schematics, ensuring NEC/OSHA compliance, and communicating with clients. Requires Texas Journeyman Electrician license and 10+ years of hands-on experience; knowledge of 3-phase power, motors, controls, and PLC basics preferred. Willing to work on-site in Houston, TX, with occasional on-call rotations; competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Current Texas Journeyman Electrician license (TDLR)
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on troubleshooting/repair in commercial environments
- Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems including 3-phase power, motors, controls, and PLC basics preferred
- Proficiency with tools and testing equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.)
- Valid Texas driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, ability to work independently or in a team
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varied conditions
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
- Experience with service vans and managing service calls, energy-efficient systems or renewable integrations preferred
