Job Summary
Operate newsprint reels, stage paper, process plates, set ink, and maintain equipment to support efficient press operations and maintain on-time production, quality standards, and low waste. Coordinate press and plate activities during assigned shifts as part of a crew, while assisting with reel room and press operations. Work full-time shift rotations including nights, weekends, and holidays. Lift up to 100 pounds and push/pull up to 2000 pounds of paper rolls; work primarily on feet, climb stairs, and stoop, kneel, or crawl in tight areas. Requires color vision and ability to adapt to change.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 100 pounds
- Must be able to push/pull up to 2000 pounds (rolls of paper)
- Must be able to work night shifts, weekends and holidays, on a rotation schedule
- Color vision is required
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the applicable location
