Job Summary
The Plumbing Service Journeyman installs, repairs, and maintains plumbing fixtures and piping, diagnosing problems with excellent customer service. Responsibilities include inspecting, installing, repairing, and replacing pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures; diagnosing plumbing problems; ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and applicable electrical and plumbing requirements; operating pipes and plumbing tools; providing rough cost estimates to customers; keeping accurate records of parts used; and promoting additional Constellation Home services. Requires high school Diploma or GED, Journeyman plumbing license, gas fitter’s license, plumbing service experience, and strong communication skills; ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime; and physical ability to perform tasks including lifting. Minimum hourly rate shown is $29.49 with potential overtime and bonuses; benefits and a sign-on bonus are offered.
Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma or GED
- Journeyman trade license in Plumbing
- Experience working in plumbing service
- Valid gas fitter's license
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of residential plumbing service, including local plumbing and gas codes, tools, and materials
- Advanced skills in the servicing of hot water and steam boilers
- Advanced ability in the usage of sewer cleaning machines
- Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Average physical ability (bending, stopping, and climbing ladders)
- Ability to lift and carry objects of various weights
- Ability to work independently, collaboratively with minimal supervision
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
