Job Summary
Plumbing Service Journeyman is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing fixtures and piping. This role diagnoses plumbing problems, ensures compliance with safety regulations and building codes, operates tools and equipment, provides rough cost estimates to customers, maintains records of parts used, and promotes Constellation Home services to customers. Requires inspecting, installing, repairing, and replacing pipes, fittings, and fixtures, with expertise in residential plumbing including hot water and steam boiler servicing, and the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision. Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and overtime, and hold a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma or GED
- Journeyman trade license in Plumbing
- Experience working in plumbing service
- Valid gas fitter's license
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of residential plumbing service, including local plumbing and gas codes, tools, and materials
- Advanced skills in the servicing of hot water and steam boilers
- Advanced ability in the usage of sewer cleaning machines
- Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Average physical ability (bending, stopping, and climbing ladders)
- Ability to lift and carry objects of various weights
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
