Job Summary
Plumbing Service Journeyman is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing fixtures and piping. The role involves diagnosing plumbing problems, ensuring safety regulations and building/gas codes are followed, operating plumbing tools and equipment, providing cost rough estimates to customers, and promoting additional Constellation Home services. Primary duties include inspecting, installing, repairing, and replacing pipes, fittings, and fixtures; diagnosing problems; maintaining records of parts used; and delivering excellent customer service, with the ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma or GED
- Journeyman trade license in Plumbing
- Valid gas fitter's license
- Experience working in plumbing service
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of residential plumbing service, including local plumbing and gas codes, tools, and materials
- Advanced skills in the servicing of hot water and steam boilers
- Advanced ability in the usage of sewer cleaning machines
- Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Average physical ability (bending, stopping, and climbing ladders)
- Ability to lift and carry objects of various weights
- Ability to work independently, collaboratively with minimal supervision
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
