Job Summary
Journeyman Plumbing Service role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing fixtures and piping. Responsibilities include inspecting, installing, repairing, and replacing pipes and fixtures; diagnosing plumbing problems; ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building and plumbing codes; operating tools such as pipe cutters, reamers, threading machines, and welding equipment; providing cost estimates; maintaining records; and promoting additional services to customers. Requires a High school Diploma or GED, a Journeyman plumbing license, a valid gas fitter's license, and experience in residential plumbing with knowledge of local codes; ability to work weekends/holidays/overtime; and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma or GED
- Journeyman trade license in Plumbing
- Valid gas fitter's license
- Experience working in plumbing service
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of residential plumbing service, including local plumbing and gas codes, tools, and materials
- Advanced skills in the servicing of hot water and steam boilers
- Advanced ability in the usage of sewer cleaning machines
- Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Average physical ability (bending, stopping, and climbing ladders)
- Ability to lift and carry objects of various weights
- Ability to work independently, collaboratively with minimal supervision
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
