Job Summary
Read blueprints and specifications to determine plumbing system layouts, then connect tubing and fittings using solder paste or torch to form sewer, drain, and water lines. Direct workers during preassembly and installation of wall systems while ensuring all installations meet building codes and safety standards. Plan two weeks ahead to order materials, conduct weekly job safety meetings, and maintain clear worksites. Coordinate with general contractors and site supervisors, check subordinate timecards, and complete required paperwork to comply with government regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of trade school or an equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience
- State Driver's License
- Journeyman's or Master's license
- Minimum of 5 years' experience
- Basic math and computer skills
- Mechanically inclined
- Working knowledge, understanding and ability to comply with all Federal, State, Local, and Company regulations, policies, guidelines, and procedures
- Ability to use tools such as saws, cutting and solder torches, benders, welders, and other equipment
- Operation of fork lift, man-lift or other vertical lifting equipment
- Completion of all required certifications and training for job level
- Show competency in assigned tasks under general supervision
- General knowledge of construction disciplines
- Ability to follow and understand technical instructions and specifications

- Able to work independently
- Proficient at reading shop drawings
- Ability to use all test equipment associated with troubleshooting installed equipment
