Job Summary
Journeyman Plumber role supporting design and installation of Brattleboro Retreat’s plumbing, sprinkler and HVAC systems. Performs maintenance and preventative maintenance on plumbing and HVAC systems, documents installations (as built, valve tagging, locating system components) and supports life-safety equipment inspections. Generates material lists and procurement requests, maintains inventory, and provides estimates for damages. Includes tasks such as installing plumbing/HVAC/refrigeration/fire suppression/underground utilities in compliance with Brattleboro Retreat requirements and applicable regulations, plus general building maintenance and safety responsibilities. Requires a Vermont journeyman plumber license (with 4 years of experience) and a minimum of two additional years in pipefitting/steamfitting or plumbing, along with a valid driving license and clean driving record.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Vermont state journeyman plumber license (includes 4 years experience)
- Minimum of two additional years experience in pipefitting and steamfitting, or plumbing
- Must possess a current driving license, and have maintained a safe and clean driving record for the past three years
