Job Summary
Maintain, repair, and install plumbing systems, services, and equipment for District facilities under general supervision; provide ongoing guidance and on‐the‐job training for plumbing helpers; perform preventative maintenance, read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and plumbing diagrams (water and sewer), and determine best approach to tasks while ensuring safety. Requires at least five years of plumbing industry experience; responsibilities include on‐call emergencies, recording materials and labor, and supervising staff. Proficiency in using hand and power tools, basic computer skills, and strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills are needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED, required
- Valid Texas Journeyman Plumber License, required
- Documented Trade School plumbing courses, preferred
- Valid Class C Texas driver’s license and proof of insurability with District insurance carrier
