Job Summary
Journeyman Pipefitter with HVAC installation experience responsible for the installation, testing, and startup of commercial hydronic piping systems. Proficient in brazing and soldering copper piping, grooved piping, and installation of boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and pumps. Perform pressure testing, flushing, and startup preparation; assist with commissioning activities and project closeout; ensure quality standards and code compliance; read blueprints and mechanical drawings; maintain safety as per OSHA; valid driver’s license. Collaborates with Project Managers, Foremen, and technicians to ensure successful project execution.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman-level experience in pipefitting, HVAC installation, or mechanical construction
- Proficiency in brazing and soldering copper piping systems
- Experience installing grooved piping systems
- Knowledge of hydronic, chilled water, condenser water, and heating water piping systems
- Experience with seismic bracing installation and mechanical supports
- Experience installing boilers, chillers, cooling towers, fan coil units, pumps, and related mechanical equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and mechanical drawings
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- OSHA 10 certification preferred
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
