Job Summary
Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems. Responsibilities include cutting, threading, and hammering pipe; attaching pipes to walls/fixtures; measuring and marking; planning layouts; selecting pipe sizes/materials; modifying and maintaining systems; installing automatic controls; operating pumps to remove water from flooded areas; coating piping materials to prevent corrosion; inspecting sites for obstructions and ensuring structural integrity; and performing other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience
- Education – no minimum education requirements
