Journeyman Mission Analyst

Job Summary

Conduct Mission Assurance analysis to evaluate mission dependencies, infrastructure vulnerabilities, and operational risks affecting Air Force program execution. Independently validate mission-essential functions, review existing analytical products for accuracy, and develop documentation, findings, and decision-support briefings for Government stakeholders. Coordinate with subject matter experts and installation representatives to collect, organize, and verify mission-related information while identifying gaps in mission resilience. Prepare and present analytical findings to authorized personnel, maintaining effective communication with program leadership. Perform assigned duties independently within a classified environment at a Government facility in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

Required Qualifications

  • A current, active, and valid Top Secret security clearance
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information and applicable SCI caveat accesses
  • Continued employment contingent upon maintaining all security clearances and accesses required to perform the work
  • Work onsite within a Government-owned or controlled Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility
  • Must be a legal citizen of the United States
  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university
  • Three to ten years of professional work experience
  • Ability to perform assigned functional duties independently
  • Experience conducting research, analysis, assessments, or other structured evaluation activities
  • Ability to analyze mission requirements, operational dependencies, infrastructure, systems, processes, and associated risks
  • Ability to collect, organize, validate, and evaluate information from multiple sources
  • Experience developing written analytical products, reports, briefings, findings, or recommendations
  • Ability to identify incomplete, inconsistent, outdated, or unsupported information and coordinate its resolution
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly to technical and nontechnical stakeholders
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Government personnel, mission partners, subject matter experts, and contractor team members
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, priorities, and deadlines in a mission-focused environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to handle classified and sensitive information in accordance with Government security requirements

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Mission Assurance, mission analysis, continuity, resilience, risk management, emergency management, infrastructure analysis, or a related mission-support function
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense or Department of the Air Force organizations, missions, terminology, or operational environments
  • Experience analyzing critical infrastructure, mission dependencies, vulnerabilities, threats, hazards, or operational impacts
  • Experience supporting assessments, working groups, stakeholder interviews, data calls, or senior-level briefings
  • Experience working in a classified environment
