Job Summary
Maintain a diverse range of equipment, including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty on-road tractors, and trailers from various manufacturers. Troubleshoot and maintain propulsion systems, hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls using diagnostic equipment and scan tools. Operate standard and manual transmissions and power pneumatic tools while meeting DOT requirements. This role requires an active driver's license and experience with automotive mechanical systems. Candidates must be willing to work rotating shifts, including weekends and overtime, in an environment with variable temperatures and exposure to petroleum products and dust. Starting pay is $39.70 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Must have an active driver's license issued by the state
- Must be willing to work 2nd or 3rd shifts, including Monday through Friday, Sunday through Thursday, as well as Tuesday through Saturday schedules, depending on the location's need
- Must possess the required hand tools required to perform the applicable job assignment
- Current documented automotive mechanical experience
- Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and personal computer
- Class A/B or A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - Preferred at the time of hire. A CDL license must be obtained within the first 6 months of employment
- Dependable with the ability to report to work on a regular and timely basis and complete scheduled workday consistently
- Available to work varying shifts, additional hours, and/or overtime depending on service needs
- Communicates effectively through sight, hearing, and/or otherwise, to perform assigned tasks and maintain proper job safety conditions
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer
